Libraries-Wide Intranet

We have been hearing about intranet capabilities for quite a while now. Currently DADS and UARC have taken advantage of this technology. Mark Paul is developing a libraries-wide intranet as mentioned in "From the University Librarian." Anyone within the University Libraries will have access to all documents posted there, such as the Enabling Plan and the results of the recent library survey. The intranet will be password secure. When it is up and running, an announcement will be sent out to all with further information. To view the intranet for the libraries while it's under construction, point your browser to http://uofl.louisville.edu/library. Bookmark it now to check the progress. The first documents will be up by the end of this month. Intranet "space" is available to any department or team that would like to post information not appropriate for the Internet. See http://uofl.louisville.edu for information on UofL's intranet, with links to instructions on how to set up a departmental intranet.
