The University of Louisville mourns the loss of an old friend. Minerva Plus, long-time companion of Homer, died January 16, 1999, of obsolescence. Minerva Plus is survived by daughter, Minerva 2000 (née Voyager) and grandmother Minerva. Minerva 2000 will continue with the family business.
A New Orleans style funeral was held in the Ekstrom Library on January 27, 1999. Mourners paraded to a jazz ensemble from the University of Louisville School of Music.
