Both had worked on Amish farms--Dory in Indiana, Dolly in Kentucky --before I bought them at auction from a neighbor in 1994. The forecart gives me a place to ride while we're working and place to hitch up with any pull type implement. The chain harrow is like a piece of malleable iron chain link fence and is used to drag around the pasture breaking up the manure and spreading it around. (Photo by Jennifer Reiss.) |
